Description and Activities: The Karaj Missile Development Complex is located 42km west of the Iranian capital, Tehran, in the province of Tehran. It is located on the grounds of the Defense Industry Organization's Defense Technology and Science Research Center.
The Complex houses the missile design program and receives assistance from China and Russia. Some reports claim that this facility built and tested the Shehab 3 missile with assistance from Chinese, North Korean, and Russian scientists.
